Lent is a season of growing light, anticipation and renewal. It’s a time of waiting with anticipation and hope for the new life that is coming with the spring. Please join us as we gather to observe the season of anticipation and new life through the lens of the natural world. With the book “Wild Hope” (by Gayle Boss) as our guide (it will be most helpful for you to have a copy of the book), we will be awoken to a wild hope that through all the death and ruin around us, something new could rise. Although the book includes many examples from the natural world, each week we will discuss a particular theme of the book. Week 1 of Lent includes the following theme and chapters:
Sun., Mar. 8: The Hungry: the Red Knot, Amur Leopard, Galapagos Penguin, and Staghorn Coral
We will begin at 4 PM at The Table Public House to wonder together. This family-friendly conversation series will last approximately an hour and promises to engage the senses of all ages. Join us each week at 2190 S. Platte River Dr. and kindle hope this season.
Venue: The Table Public House
The former VFW building near Grant Frontier Park serves as The Table’s home on the South Platte River
