It’s been a great season for volunteers with The Table. After miserable weather postponed our scheduled work day with some employees of HDR Engineering, Inc., we finally got together with about 20 volunteers on Saturday, May 7. The crew split up into two groups, one focusing on the street side gardens at Platt Park Church and the other working to transform one of our back yard gardens at the corner of S. Emerson and Mexico. After 3.5 hours of work, the rains came (as did the pizza, donated by Papa John’s and the beer, donated by LaGunitas) and we had transformed two garden spaces. Enjoy these photos of the work with special thanks to the aforementioned HDR, Papa Johns, and LaGunitas. Cheers!
