The Table in the News!

Keep your eyes peeled! The Table has been fortunate in the past few weeks to receive some news publicity. We always love to get our cause and our mission out there.

Last week on Wednesday, June 11th, 9News featured a segment on “Produce for Pantries” at the community gardens in West Washington Park. Look closely! A few of us can be seen lending a helping hand to multiple gardening plots in the background of the news story. At this specific park as well as neighborhood gardens to personal home gardens, people are joining together to garden vegetables and other goods in order to donate to local food pantries – a recurring event each summer. The whole mission is to get grown food from private gardeners into the hands of local food banks and pantries.

Obviously, this is something we strongly believe in and stand for. This is our mission as The Table: to lovingly grow food to help feed the hungry in our neighborhoods.

Additionally, come read a news article published about The Table in the Denver Post on June 20th.

Thanks to everyone who has helped and encouraged The Table thus far! We could not be happier that our cause and the mission of other community gardens to feed the hungry is getting recognized. Our love for gardening and simultaneously helping the needy is something we always love to share with everyone.
